Job Role: Contracts Manager
Location: London & South East (Project-Based)
Contract: Permanent
Package: Competitive Day Rate/Salary + Annual Performance Bonus
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established specialist subcontractor delivering complex structural alteration and enabling works projects for some of the UK's leading Tier 1 contractors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Contracts Manager or a Senior Project Manager looking to step into a Contracts Management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing 3-4 live projects simultaneously.
- Reporting directly to a Company Director.
- Overseeing project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
- Managing client relationships and working closely with Tier 1 Main Contractors.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Reviewing programmes, project performance, commercial matters, and contractual obligations.
- Supporting project teams and driving successful project outcomes.

Essential Experience
- Ideally 5-6+ years' experience operating as a Contracts Manager.
- Alternatively, strong Senior Project Managers seeking progression into a Contracts Manager position will be considered.
- Minimum 8 years' experience delivering structural alteration projects.
- Previous experience working for a specialist subcontractor rather than a main contractor.
- Experience working for subcontractors of a similar scale and structure.
- Proven track record delivering projects for Tier 1 Main Contractors such as:
- Multiplex
- Mace
- Sir Robert McAlpine
- Skanska
- Or similar major contractors.
- Strong understanding of construction contract forms, particularly JCT and NEC.
- Experience using ASTA Powerproject programme software.
