Contracts Manager – Construction

Job Title: Contracts Manager – Industrial, Residential & Commercial Construction

Office Based: Lancashire (Covering projects across the North West)

Remuneration: £55,000 - £65,000 neg + Company car allowance

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package

Role Overview

The role of the Contracts Manager – Construction will involve:

  • Contracts Manager position overseeing a broad range of new build construction and refurbishment projects
  • Planning and programming projects to meet detailed schedules and contractual requirements
  • Managing procurement and material reconciliation to ensure best value and prevent delays
  • Briefing and supporting site/project teams to ensure full understanding of contractual obligations
  • Carrying out weekly reviews of progress, budgets, resources, and forward planning
  • Coordinating permanent and temporary staff in line with project and contractual needs
  • Managing subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company procedures
  • Oversee projects up to £20m in value (typically £8m)

  • Highly advantageous to come from a Tier 1 Main contractor
  • An ideal candidate will possess experience dealing with a range of new-build and refurbishment contracts
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Must be a great team player
  • Must be a hard worker that’s ready to get stuck in
  • High levels of organisation
  • Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
