Contract Manager

Contract Manager – Facilities Management

Head Office: 5 Norwich Street, London, EC4A 1EJ

Hours: Monday–Friday | 08:00–17:00

Salary: £55,000-£60,000pa

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially focused Contract Manager to join our Facilities Management team and take ownership of the commercial, financial and operational performance of a portfolio of contracts.

Reporting to the Business Unit Head and ultimately accountable to the Managing Director, this is a senior role for someone who can combine strong leadership with excellent contract management, financial awareness and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.

What you’ll be responsible for

You’ll take the lead in ensuring our contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and in line with contractual and statutory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the overall operational and commercial performance of assigned FM contracts.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring 100% statutory, Health & Safety, environmental and contractual compliance.
  • Delivering and exceeding agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Managing budgets, income, expenditure, margins and contract profitability.
  • Producing accurate monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports.
  • Leading and developing contract teams, including supervisors, engineers and contract support staff.
  • Recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Managing specialist subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, competence and value for money.
  • Identifying and proactively managing operational, financial, resourcing and client risks.
  • Ensuring additional works are commercially managed and invoiced promptly and accurately.
  • Ensuring CAFM data, WIP and financial information is accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting business growth and identifying opportunities to improve contract performance and profitability.
  • Promoting a positive culture based on Collaborate, Innovate and Maintain.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded Contract Manager with strong experience in Facilities Management, Building Services or a similar environment.

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience managing FM contracts and client relationships.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • Experience managing teams and subcontractors.
  • A good understanding of statutory compliance, Health & Safety and industry standards.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against challenging KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
  • Strong reporting and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Knowledge of SFG20 and experience working within ISO-certified management systems would be highly advantageous.
