Job Introduction

The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Contract Manager to effectively manage site security to ensure that the team are working in line with The Supreme Court & Carlisle Support Service Policies & Procedures, you will also be required to ensure that the client is fully briefed and updated regarding any security related issues that arise.

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

  • Manage and coordinate weekly security training ensure security officers are adhering to site policies and procedures in line with UKSC processes and procedures
  • Identify and report on all site related risks providing professional advice to reduce any associated security risk to the client, and all associated stakeholders
  • Support and advise on any new security related projects. Maintain and own any strategic business development plans in place
  • Attend and lead on security review meetings or as required with the client providing any required reports on all security related matters
  • Ensure that the training matrix up to date and ensure training has been booked for security officers, this includes refresher and non-attended training
  • Compile client month end reports for statistics on attendance, training, incidents, accidents in preparation for the client monthly report
  • Conduct HR meetings
  • Conduct monthly one to one welfare meetings with direct reports
  • Track performance related matters and advise the Head of Operations of any required escalation
  • Ensure weekly rosters are 3 months in advance of going live, ensuring that all elements of UKSC operations have been considered. Ensure that all events and manning requirements have also been considered
  • Oversee the collation of sickness records as required and update contract management in readiness of any performance related meetings
  • Ensure that the Return to Work (RTW) Sickness Absence Review policy is upheld and all meetings take place as required and communicated to HR
  • Ensure that training, Ad Hoc hours, uniform, and holiday spend are managed effectively and communicated to the Head of Operations
  • Maintain a healthy P&L and attend monthly P&L review meetings
  • Understand client needs and objectives
  • Build positive relationships at all levels
  • Ensure Company image is portrayed in positive manner
  • Monitor performance verses KPI’s in support of the Contract Manager
  • Identify service extension opportunities
  • Support new business opportunities as requested

The ideal candidate

  • Must have previous supervisory experience within the Judicial Security Sector and able to manage a large multi skilled team of not less than 20 personnel
  • Good understanding of CCTV, ID Pass Creation, Intruder Alarm & Access Control Systems
  • Applicants must be flexible, reliable and be able to workdays / nights & weekends to suit the needs of the contract at short notice.
  • Ability to organise and motivate the team of security officers and supervisory staff to guarantee optimum performance of the wider security team
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • The ability to compile and understand statistics and reports
  • Leadership and ability to follow plans through to completion
  • Understanding of Security Risk Assessment & Physical Security planning
  • SIA Licence holder
