Contracts Manager – A&S Group
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per year

Working hours: Monday to Friday
Work location: In person, with travel to project sites across the UK

We are now seeking a dedicated Contracts Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering our projects.
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Contracts Manager to take ownership of projects from pre-construction planning and site setup through to completion, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations. This position may suit an experienced construction-based Site Manager looking to progress into a Contracts Manager role. You will work closely with planners, procurement, the accounts team and site teams to ensure each project is effectively planned, resourced and delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive project delivery across multiple locations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage remediation projects nationwide, maintaining high standards of quality, safety and CDM compliance.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise daily with site teams and provide leadership, advice and support to Site Managers.
- Work closely with clients, Site Managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee all stages of projects, from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Prepare detailed project reports, risk assessments and method statements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety standards.
- Resolve issues or conflicts promptly to maintain project momentum.
- Mentor and manage site teams, encouraging high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Cover Site Manager absences when required.

Requirements
- SMSTS certification – essential.
- First Aid certification – essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, regulations and multidisciplinary project delivery, including remediation projects – essential.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects within the construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of CDM regulations and the ability to ensure compliance across all projects – essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK – essential.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
