Job Role: Contract Manager (PFI contract)
Location: Redcar
Salary: Competitive with benefits

Robertson Facilities Management (RFM) provides hard and soft FM services, grounds maintenance and energy services for single and multi-site locations throughout the UK. We work across sectors including education, healthcare, emergency services and commercial, assuring our customers of high-quality, best value and a sustainable approach.

RFM has grown significantly since its inception in 1999, with a turnover of £181m for FY2025 and employs more than 1500 people. We are now on a growth trajectory, with ambitious plans to grow the business to £300m turnover by 2030. Our plans for growth require RFM to ‘make the market’, and to be at the forefront of high value opportunities in the FM marketplace.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, provide direction and day to day management to a multi-disciplinary FM and project delivery team to the highest standards meeting client and contractual requirements and expectations.
  • Implement Robertson’s integrated policies on Quality, SHEQ in conjunction with support teams and the client’s requirements.
  • P&L accountability for the contract, aligned to budgets, business objectives and contract requirements.
  • Own, manage, and develop all risk including mitigation and opportunity in line with Robertson processes and procedures inclusive of operational jeopardy management.
  • Management and oversight of relevant CAPEX, OPEX and life cycle budgets and plans in line with commercial and operational requirements.
  • Ensure defined H&S responsibilities and accountability are established and regular reviews are undertaken.
  • Champion a continuous improvement programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development, including but not limited to; innovation, best practice and in line with Robertson processes.
  • Encourage, coach, support and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet personal and contract requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplined FM teams and contracts, preferably within public sector.
  • Financial and commercial qualifications would be beneficial, alternatively demonstrable skills and experience in managing complex budgets and commercial/legal matters.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a structured logical approach.
  • A recognised health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH.
  • Strong people leader with the ability to involve and engage others.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of CAFM systems.
  • A full driving licence and a willingness to travel are essential to the post.
