Facilities Management Contract Manager

Location: Woolwich

Salary: 70K

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Management Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of hard and soft FM services across a busy commercial site in Woolwich.

This is a hands-on management role where you will lead the on-site FM team, ensure services are delivered safely and efficiently, maintain excellent client relationships, and drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of Facilities Management services.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the on-site FM team.
  • Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance is completed to a high standard.
  • Monitor and achieve agreed service levels (KPIs and SLAs).
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and operational performance.
  • Oversee contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and statutory regulations.
  • Carry out regular client meetings and provide service updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of the FM team.
  • Manage small projects and coordinate planned works.
  • Ensure the team has the appropriate tools, equipment, and PPE.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours management rota when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Facilities Management Contract Manager or Facilities Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of hard and soft FM services.
  • Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of CAFM systems.
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs, SLAs, and contractor performance.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
