Contract Manager

Location: County Community Hospital, Invergordon & Orkney, Kirkwall (Hybrid Working available)

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 38.75 hours per week

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Lead by example in culture of safety, opportunity, inclusiveness, and diversity
  • Lead, provide direction and day to day management to a multi-disciplinary FM and project delivery team to the highest standards meeting client and contractual requirements and expectations.
  • Implement Robertson’s integrated policies on Quality, SHEQ in conjunction with support teams and the client’s requirements.
  • P&L accountability for your designated contract(s) aligned to budgets, business objectives and contract requirements.
  • Management and oversight of relevant CAPEX, OPEX and life cycle budgets and plans in line with commercial and operational requirements. Strong understanding and application of asset management.
  • Ensure compliance record keeping is maintained to a high standard to maintain compliance with statutory requirements, contract service standards and SHTMs
  • Ensure defined H&S responsibilities and accountability are established and regular reviews are undertaken.
  • Champion a continuous improvement programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development, including but not limited to; innovation, best practice and in line with Robertson processes.
  • Encourage, coach, support and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet personal and contract requirements.
  • Facilitate, lead and conduct a robust schedule of audits and workplace inspections each month covering but not limited to contract, statutory, SHEQ and operational performance and compliance.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with client management teams to ensure delivery of contract.
  • Monitor contract and team performance providing formal monthly reports to the client and RFM Operations Manager, confirming compliance with the requirements of the contract and identifying issues for discussion, future workload, risks and opportunities. Attendance at monthly Operational Meetings with the client to discuss performance.

What you’ll need:

  • Candidate will be an experienced manager that holds a relevant degree or professional qualification in an Estates/Facilities discipline
  • Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplined FM teams and contracts within PFI healthcare sector.
  • Experience in CAFM systems to manage helpdesk tasks and reporting
  • Financial and commercial qualifications would be beneficial, alternatively demonstratable skills and experience in managing complex budgets and commercial/legal matters would be considered
  • A recognised health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH
  • A strong technical focus with knowledge of Building Regulations.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of NHS “SHTM 00 best practice guidance for health care engineering” policies and principles.
  • Strong people leader with the ability to involve and engage others.
  • Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc)
  • A full driving licence is required and a willingness to travel
  • The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.

Who we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Contract Manager role, overseeing site operations, health, safety, wellbeing, and the commercial and financial profitability of both County Community Hospital in Invergordon and Balfour Hospital for Hard FM services across the facilities.

The successful candidate will also hold and maintain positive executive relationships with the end customer (NHSO) and ProjectCo SPV, and will actively collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive, proactive, and progressive environment.
