Contracts Manager – Drylining
Region: East Midlands, Yorkshire and North West
Measom is a family-run specialist contractor with a history dating back to 1934. We design, plan and deliver drylining, ceilings, plastering, structural frame systems and fire protection across a range of sectors. Our head office is in Leicester, with regional teams supporting projects across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead multiple projects across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North West. The role involves regular travel to projects and close working with our project, commercial, design and site teams.
You will take responsibility for projects from tender review and pre-construction through to delivery, handover and post-completion review. You will ensure they are delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and with strong commercial control.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing tender information, design, buildability, programme and delivery risks.
- Establishing realistic construction sequences, resource plans, procurement dates and project programmes.
- Leading Project Managers and site teams across several live projects.
- Monitoring progress, productivity, quality, safety and costs, and taking action when performance falls short.
- Managing design information, access, handovers and interfaces with other trades.
- Working with the commercial team to ensure variations, delays, instructions and dayworks are recorded and managed promptly.
- Building strong client relationships and leading project reviews to improve future delivery.
You will need to have at least five years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering drylining projects of varying size and complexity, and be ready to manage a wider portfolio. You will bring:

- Strong technical knowledge of drylining systems, drawings, specifications and site installation.
- The ability to plan works, manage resources and recover programme delays.
- Commercial awareness, including labour productivity, cost forecasts and variations.
- Experience leading teams and communicating effectively with clients and main contractors.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or Asta, Excel and digital drawing or site record systems.
- An NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Management, or be working towards one.
- Valid SMSTS certification and a CSCS Manager card.
