About The Role
The Procurement Contracts Manager will play a critical role in the Procurement department, responsible for adapting core contract templates, amending third party forms of contract, negotiating, and assisting the procurement team and wider business functions in managing large and complex contracts with suppliers and service providers in multiple jurisdictions. This position ensures that all contracts meet legal, regulatory, and company standards while aligning with the strategic and commercial objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of and practical expertise in contract law, procurement and supply chain processes, commercial negotiation strategies, and a strong ability to mitigate risk, assure compliance and drive value in supplier relationships.
Based at our Cambridge or Liverpool office, this full-time hybrid role offers flexibility depending on project demands, alongside occasional travel to support project and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are clear, enforceable, and aligned with company policies and objectives.
- Lead and assist other buyers / category managers with commercial negotiations with suppliers and service providers, securing favourable terms that optimise cost savings, pricing, payment terms, and overall value. Leverage market knowledge and financial acumen to negotiate terms that meet the company’s budgetary and operational requirements.
- Identify potential risks within contract terms and conditions, proposing amendments to mitigate these risks. Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for contractual discussions, commercial negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, operations, local management teams, as well as development and compliance teams, to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and facilitate contract execution. Collaborate with finance teams to analyse cost implications and ensure contract terms are financially beneficial.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through execution and renewal, ensuring all contracts are appropriately documented and archived. Implement best-practice ERP-driven document handling and analytics to create improved transparency, customer experience and value-add to the supported business functions.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Monitor contract performance and adherence to terms, taking corrective actions as needed. Further develop and drive the implementation of Domino Group’s supplier governance framework, to guide and support Procurement activities for Production, New Product Development and Indirect Supplies to our manufacturing organizations as well as our regional Channels, if required.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve contract templates, negotiation processes, and overall procurement strategies to enhance efficiency, supply resilience, commercial value, and cost savings.
- Support education and training of the wider Procurement teams towards more self-sufficiency in the management and negotiation of small to mid-size contracts.

About you
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- A degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous (e.g., CPCM, CPSM, CILEX).
- Significant experience in contract management, procurement, or commercial management, with a strong track record of negotiating complex supplier agreements.
- Strong knowledge of UK contract law and commercial terms; international legal or contracting experience would be beneficial, e.g., German or Swedish.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive commercial outcomes.
- A solid understanding of procurement best practices, compliance, risk management and supplier governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading contract reviews and negotiations to support informed, timely business decision-making.
- Commercial awareness, financial acumen and a practical approach to delivering value and mitigating risk.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across functions.
