Contracts Manager – Water & Utilities

Location: HVL Solutions Ltd, Henley-on-Thames
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

HVL Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to join our expanding Southern operations, working from our Henley-on-Thames office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist engineering company delivering valve inspection, repair, maintenance and emergency response services across the UK water and utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple contracts from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
  • Oversee contract performance, budgets, resources and delivery programmes.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, framework partners and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate supervisors, engineers and planning teams to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Review quotations, scopes of work, purchase orders and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor labour, equipment, materials and subcontractor costs.
  • Ensure all works comply with company procedures, client specifications and health and safety requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, progress reviews and site visits when required.
  • Identify commercial risks, variations and additional work opportunities.
  • Support emergency and reactive works across the Southern region.
  • Produce accurate operational and financial reports for the senior management team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a Contracts Manager or similar operational role.
  • Experience within the water, utilities, civil engineering or mechanical engineering sectors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage field-based teams and multiple live projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and client-management skills.
  • A practical understanding of health and safety, RAMS and site compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and contract-management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
