About the Role
As the Contract / Bid Manager (CM), you will act as the single point of contact within the Business Unit for the full bid and contract lifecycle, from opportunity qualification through tender submission, negotiation, delivery, governance, renewals, and change management. Positioned closely with legal, commercial, and operational functions, the role brings together deal strategy, pricing coordination, and risk assessment to keep submissions both competitive and compliant.
The CM works extensively with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and Legal, acting as the central coordinator for commercial and contract-related activities within the assigned Business Unit or cluster, and reports directly to the Legal department.
The role is remote and UK-based.
This role suits someone with a strong business focus who thrives in cross-functional teams, balancing commercial judgment with structured contract governance across a defined Business Unit or cluster of Business Units.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
