The business specialise in:

  • Design, manufacture and installation of restaurant HVAC solutions.
  • Manufacture, install & certification of Caswell Firesafe® fire resisting ductwork systems.

Caswell offers long-term stability, technical expertise, and opportunities to work on high-profile projects across the UK.

Role Description

The Contracts Manager will lead the CASWELL FIRESAFE® Fire Resisting Ductwork Team. Overseeing contracts from award through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Managing contract documentation
  • Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams
  • Monitoring progress, costs, variations, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Reviewing and negotiating contract terms
  • Preparing reports and forecasts
  • Supporting tender and bidding processes with accurate commercial input
  • Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrate experience in contract management, including administration of construction or engineering contracts and handling variations, claims, and commercial reporting.
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple HVAC or ductwork projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of construction, M&E, or HVAC industry practices, relevant standards, and basic knowledge of fire resisting ductwork or passive fire protection (or willingness to learn).
  • Proficient in using office and project software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, project or ERP systems) to manage documentation, budgets, and schedules.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working with main contractors, blue-chip clients, or on large commercial projects is highly beneficial.
