Role Description
The Contracts Manager will lead the CASWELL FIRESAFE® Fire Resisting Ductwork Team. Overseeing contracts from award through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing contract documentation
- Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Monitoring progress, costs, variations, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
- Reviewing and negotiating contract terms
- Preparing reports and forecasts
- Supporting tender and bidding processes with accurate commercial input
- Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement

- Demonstrate experience in contract management, including administration of construction or engineering contracts and handling variations, claims, and commercial reporting.
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple HVAC or ductwork projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of construction, M&E, or HVAC industry practices, relevant standards, and basic knowledge of fire resisting ductwork or passive fire protection (or willingness to learn).
- Proficient in using office and project software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, project or ERP systems) to manage documentation, budgets, and schedules.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on risk management and compliance.
- Relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working with main contractors, blue-chip clients, or on large commercial projects is highly beneficial.
