Contract Manager – Leisure Management - Surrey/Southwest London

£60,000 + bonus + benefits

We are looking for a Contract Manager in Surrey/Southwest London to oversee 3 diverse high-volume sports leisure and fitness centres generating more than £8.5M in revenue for one of the U.K.'s most progressive leisure management operators renowned for their quality and innovative service provision and investment in their people.

The business has already undergone £6.5M of investment to upgrade the facilities and will receive a further £1.7M in 2027 so this is a hugely exciting and challenging time to be joining the company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take the lead as General Manager at the flagship centre turning over more than £6M.
  • Lead, develop and inspire your General Managers and large HOD team, instilling a culture of service excellence and drive for results.
  • Develop and deliver a commercial strategy and business plan to grow the business, with an emphasis on swimming lessons and gym membership.
  • Ensure the centres are safe, operationally compliant and service levels are meeting your customers’ expectations.
  • Work with your local authority client and other external stakeholders to improve the health and wellbeing of the whole community with organised programmes and activities.
  • Support with project managing CAPEX projects to enhance the facilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3-years senior leadership experience as a General Manager, Cluster Manager, Area Manager or Contract Manager within the health and fitness/leisure management market.
  • Exposure to managing multi-million-pound revenue budgets across multiple revenue streams in a high footfall business.
  • A history of delivering outstanding commercial results and exemplary customer experience.
  • A working understanding of fulfilling community health and wellbeing objectives working for a Trust/Charitable Social Enterprise/Leisure Management organization.
  • Ideally experience of managing CAPEX projects.
  • A full clean driving license and the mobility to travel to Surrey/Southwest London area each working day.
