About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to deliver Roofing & Cladding projects from award to final account, managing either multiple simultaneous contracts or a single major project. You will be on site daily, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Oversee projects from pre-construction to final account, including programming, progress reporting, and technical issue resolution.
  • Site Leadership: Provide daily on-site supervision for site teams, direct labour, and subcontractors.
  • Commercial & Procurement: Manage cost control, valuations, variations, and material/subcontract procurement alongside in-house teams.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, architects, and suppliers.
  • H&S & Quality: Enforce strict health and safety compliance, manage project risks, and oversee QA procedures, inspections, and hold points.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of building envelope detailing and systems (Felt/Flat roofing, built-up, single ply, aluminium standing seam, and rainscreen).
  • Proven Track Record: Experience managing multiple contracts through their full lifecycle within main contractor and subcontractor environments.
  • Commercial Acumen: Robust understanding of construction contracts, cost control, variations, and valuations.
  • Operations: Experienced in managing on-site labour, plant, materials, and implementing quality control processes.
  • Safety & Standards: Deep knowledge of H&S regulations; SMSTS and CSCS Black Card are highly desirable.
