Contract Manager
This vacancy is only available for applications from existing Internal Plymouth City Council employees and Agency Workers who are in an active placement and have 12 weeks continuous service. Applications submitted by External candidates who do not meet this criteria will not be considered and will be rejected.
Plymouth City Council is looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Manager to lead the performance, compliance and quality management of the Youth Employment Programme.
The Youth Employment Programme supports young people aged 16 to 24 to access employment, training and education opportunities, helping them develop skills, gain experience and progress into sustainable employment. Through partnership working with employers, training providers, colleges and community organisations, the programme plays a key role in delivering Plymouth's ambitions for inclusive growth and improved life chances for young people.

As Contract Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of contracts and partnerships, ensuring services deliver positive outcomes, meet contractual requirements and provide value for money.
What You'll Do
- Manage the performance and compliance of Youth Employment Programme contracts.
- Monitor outcomes, quality standards and financial performance.
- Build strong relationships with providers, employers and stakeholders.
- Analyse performance data and produce reports for senior leaders and funders.
- Identify risks and drive continuous improvement across the programme.
- Support the development of employment and skills opportunities for young people across the city.

You will have:
- Experience of contract, programme or performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
- Experience of monitoring delivery against targets and outcomes.
- An understanding of employment, skills, education or public sector programmes.
