Contract / Specification Sales Manager – North East & North Yorkshire
ASR International is partnering with a market-leading and highly successful business to recruit a Contract / Specification Sales Manager across the North East and North Yorkshire.
This is an established and commercially significant territory, currently generating in excess of £15 million, with approximately 40 active accounts and relationships with some of the UK's leading national and regional housebuilders.
The business has enjoyed sustained growth over recent years and continues to invest in its people, products and contract offering. For the right individual, there is genuine scope to develop the territory further and progress within the wider business over time.
The Role
You will take ownership of an established regional customer base while identifying opportunities to increase sales, margin and market share. Working with national housebuilders at regional level, regional developers and other key stakeholders across the new-build sector, you will develop existing relationships while creating new commercial opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing a £15m+ regional territory with circa 40 active accounts
- Building relationships with national and regional housebuilders across the North East and North Yorkshire
- Developing relationships at regional, commercial and operational level
- Identifying new projects, developments and specifications
- Converting quotations and opportunities into secured business
- Growing revenue, margin and market share across the region
- Working closely with internal contracts, quotations, customer service and installation teams
- Monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities for further growth
- Ensuring excellent account management throughout the project lifecycle

The Person
We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven sales professional who understands the contract, specification or new-build market. We're particularly interested in candidates with experience selling into housebuilders and developers, but we would also consider strong candidates from the wider KBB, bathrooms, interiors, Kitchen, Flooring, Appliances, Furniture, building products, construction products, or merchant sectors who can demonstrate relevant project-led relationships.

You will need to be credible in front of major customers, commercially astute, proactive and comfortable managing a substantial existing territory while still having the hunger to develop new business.

This isn't a territory that needs rebuilding from scratch. You are taking responsibility for an established £15m+ region, strong customer relationships and around 40 active accounts within a market-leading business that continues to grow.
Alongside realistic earnings of £65,000+ and an electric vehicle, there is excellent scope for someone ambitious to develop their career and potentially progress into broader regional, national or leadership responsibilities as the business continues to evolve.
