About the Role

Our customer, a leading global provider of business intelligence, data and market insights, is seeking a Contract Manager to join its legal team on an initial temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded contracts professional to take ownership of the full contract lifecycle while partnering closely with legal, procurement, finance and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring contracts are effectively managed, commercial risks are minimized, and contract processes continue to evolve in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, renewing and terminating commercial agreements
  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable legal, regulatory and internal governance requirements while identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks
  • Track key contractual obligations, milestones, renewal dates and service level commitments to ensure compliance and reduce the risk of disputes
  • Partner with legal, procurement, finance and operational teams to negotiate commercial terms and resolve contractual matters in a timely and pragmatic manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records within contract management systems
  • Produce contract reporting, metrics and management information to support business decision-making and improve contract visibility
  • Identify opportunities to streamline contract management processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support internal stakeholders by providing guidance on contractual obligations, risks and governance requirements

  • Demonstrable experience managing the full contract lifecycle within an in-house legal, procurement or commercial contracts environment
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Good understanding of commercial contract risk and contract governance principles
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including legal, finance, procurement and business teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems or contract repositories would be advantageous
