Contract Manager – Pumped Hydro Power Station

At ENGIE, we are extending the life of one of the UK's most iconic energy assets. Dinorwig Power Station in North Wales is a 1.8 GW pumped hydro facility that plays a vital role in balancing the grid. We need a Contract Manager to help us deliver this ambitious programme safely and effectively.

You will join a site-based Project Team delivering the largest capital investment in First Hydro's history. This is your opportunity to shape outcomes on complex, long-term contracts that directly support the energy transition.

Summary Of What You Will Do

  • Advise and support the Project Team on all contractual matters during execution of the Dinorwig Station Replanting and Generator Motor Transformer contracts.
  • Manage claims, variations, and negotiations with contractors, leading discussions where required.
  • Certify provisional sums and oversee payment processes in line with contractual terms.
  • Coordinate contractual risk analysis and identify opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor compliance by all parties and flag issues early to protect project outcomes.
  • Support budgetary monitoring and reporting against contract payments and overall project expenditure.
  • Liaise with engineering, legal, finance, procurement, operations, maintenance, and business development teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
