Contract Manager - The White Company
Are you an experienced logistics leader who thrives in a customer-facing environment? Do you enjoy leading large operational teams while driving service, productivity and commercial performance? Are you ready to take full ownership of a major customer contract within one of GXO’s flagship operations?
Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Contract Manager to lead our The White Company contract based at our Northampton 3 operation. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Mon-Fri, 40 hours (flexibility required), where you'll take full responsibility for operational performance, customer satisfaction, financial delivery and people leadership across a high-profile fashion and retail contract.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be a key member of the site leadership team, responsible for developing operational excellence while maintaining strong customer relationships and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operational performance of the contract, ensuring customer expectations, contractual KPIs, productivity targets and financial objectives are consistently achieved.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary operational contact while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and contract growth.
- Provide leadership to a management team of Operations Managers and Shift Managers, developing talent, driving engagement and creating a high-performance culture across the contract.
- Drive operational excellence through effective planning, resource management and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring costs, quality and productivity remain aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain full accountability for contract financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, revenue opportunities and maximising operational efficiencies.

Requirements
- Proven senior management experience within a logistics, warehousing, fulfilment or supply chain environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contract performance and customer relationships within a service-led operation.
- Demonstrable leadership experience managing large operational teams through periods of growth, change and continuous improvement.
- Experience delivering successful operational and change management initiatives while maintaining customer service excellence.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and drive results at all levels.
