About the Role & Company
A well-established, medium-sized fit-out contractor specialising in commercial and industrial refurbishment, CAT A/CAT B fit-out, and fast-track upgrades. Most projects are delivered across the Thames Valley, with the capability to support clients nationwide when required. The business is known for its hands-on leadership team, strong client relationships, and a practical, delivery-focused culture.
As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects, lead site teams, and ensure high-quality delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
This role is all about taking ownership of fit-out and refurbishment projects, mainly across the Thames Valley with the occasional trip further afield. You’ll be running the job on site, coordinating subcontractors, keeping clients updated, and making sure the project stays on track. It’s a practical, delivery-focused position within a straightforward, supportive contractor that values clear communication and reliable project management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
