COMPANY DESCRIPTION
RIGHTBUILD & MAINTENANCE LIMITED is a family-run building and maintenance company established in October 2014. Based in Crawley, West Sussex, the company provides services across the south east of England. The team delivers a wide range of property services, including commercial and domestic cleaning, refurbishments, extensions, landscaping, and general building maintenance.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Contract Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Crawley, responsible for overseeing building and maintenance contracts from initiation to completion, to ensure they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required specification and quality standards.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the delivery of repairs, voids, planned works, and maintenance services in accordance with council contract requirements, KPI’s and SLA’S.
- Act as the primary operational contact for the client, attending meetings, and providing accurate performance reporting.
- Oversee budgets, valuations using SOR codes, variations, and subcontractor costs in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all works comply with statutory requirements, Health & Safety legislation, and company policies.
- Manage supervisors, operatives, planners, and subcontractors to ensure adequate resources and services quality.
- Maintain accurate records, job data, and compliance documentation using company and client systems.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, including complaint handling and safeguarding of vulnerable residents.
- Support continuous improvement, efficiency, and service development across the contract.
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably required to ensure effective contract delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in contract management, project coordination, and overseeing building or maintenance projects.
- Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning, with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction and property maintenance processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and site teams.
- Proficiency in using office and project management software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, scheduling tools).
- Proven ability to work on-site, make sound decisions under pressure, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Previous experience in the building, construction, or facilities maintenance sector is highly beneficial.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field are an advantage.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the south east of England as required.
