Job Details
Our client, a world–class technology company and leader in their sector, requires an experienced Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to support the final phase of a key product development programme.
This is an initial 1 month contract, with the potential for extension, focused on completing the final design and manufacturing activities for a printer enclosure project. The successful contractor will need to be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision and provide immediate support across design, documentation, supplier liaison and product verification activities.

The role will be based at the client's facility in St Ives, Cambridgeshire 5 days a week, with an immediate start required.
Key Skills Required for the Contract Mechanical Design Engineer, St Ives, Cambridgeshire:
- Strong experience using Creo and Windchill
- Proven background in sheet metal and machined component design
- Design for Manufacture (DFM) experience
- Ability to inspect manufactured parts against drawings and specifications
- Experience within industrial equipment, printing technology, instrumentation or similar electromechanical products is desirable
