We are looking for a senior React Native engineer who can join an existing product team and take real ownership of a live mobile application during a six-month remote contractor engagement.
This is not a role for someone who only ports web screens onto a phone. It is for an engineer who already ships production React Native with judgement, cares about how the app feels in the hand, and can work inside an established codebase without waiting to be told what matters.
You will help deliver a substantial update to an application that already has users, design partners, and a web counterpart.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to refine scope
- Break work into sprint-ready slices
- Keep delivery honest

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will write TypeScript-first React Native that is reusable, testable, and maintainable, and you will treat performance, accessibility, and release hygiene as part of the design, not a polish pass at the end.
The work sits close to the web team’s standards:
- Design systems and component libraries used with discipline
- REST APIs integrated cleanly
- Automated testing that the team intends to grow
On mobile that also means platform differences you do not paper over. You should be comfortable with:
- The React Native bridge and the newer architecture where it is in play
- Native modules when JavaScript is the wrong layer
- The unglamorous work of certificates, store listings, crash reporting, and incremental rollouts

The community already knows the difference between a React Native app that demos well and one that survives App Store review, OS upgrades, and a year of product change. We are hiring for the second kind.
If you take pride in 60fps lists, accessible controls, predictable state, and a release train that does not frighten the business, this engagement is built to use that craft. If you want a six-month stretch of focused mobile work with designers and engineers who care about the same details, we would like to hear from you.
