The Team

The Contract Monitoring Team work within the Kirklees Adult and Health Service within Kirklees Council. Working within the Council’s values, the team are passionate about working with the Independent Care Sector Providers to ensure good quality care provision for Service Users. The goal of the team being to ensure service users receive good quality care that meets their desired outcomes, and the care providers are supported to do this.

There is currently an opportunity within the team which involves monitoring Care Homes. Please see the individual Focus Sheet alongside the Job Profile.

The Role

Monitoring, supporting and advising providers and signposting them for further support/training as appropriate with the aim of striving for continual improvement for the benefit of service users.

  • Liaising with providers, service users, informal carers, and a wide range of stakeholder professionals both internal and external to the Council.
  • Undertaking Contract Support and Quality Monitoring meetings both electronically and on site at the providers office and gaining feedback from service users and informal carers about their experience of the service as an important part of this process.
  • Producing Quality Monitoring reports and advising and supporting providers in relation to contract compliance.

The Person

You Will

  • Have the relevant knowledge and supportive and motivational skills to work with Registered Managers and owners to improve the quality of support being delivered.
  • Use excellent communication skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Manage your own workload, have excellent organisational skills, be comfortable with multi-tasking and have robust time management skills.
