About the Role
The RCT Housing Support Grant Team is responsible for the planning and commissioning of Housing Related Support Services. The Housing Support Grant Programme is a Welsh Government funded Early Intervention Grant Programme. It commissions and funds services, which complement and provide support to address homelessness including the complex problems faced such as debt, unemployment, tenancy management, substance misuse, and domestic abuse. Support is person-centered and aimed at helping people to secure and maintain sustainable housing, by addressing the mental health and/or substance misuse problems they face. As well as helping to improve their health and well-being and/or helping them progress into employment and training opportunities based on their specific circumstances.
Role of the HSG Contract Monitoring Officer
The role of the HSG Contract Monitoring Officer will be a key team member of the Housing Support Grant Team. In recent years, the provision of services has evolved to meet the needs of the population and to future proof services to meet the demands of the changing environments and trends. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for partnership working who has a strong background and experience in performance management and contract compliance against Service Specifications. The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring and compliance of grant-funded programmes/services commissioned to deliver outcomes for vulnerable homeless people and prevention of homelessness.

Working Arrangement
This will be a hybrid working arrangement with time shared between an office base in Sardis House, Pontypridd, CF37 1DU, RCT, and working from home. Employment is based on a 37-hour week under the flexible working hours scheme, with 26 days annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years), and benefits from access to the Local Government Pension Scheme. The successful applicant will be provided with a laptop to enable a hybrid working arrangement.
