Contract Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: DE55

Rate: Up to £40 per hour

Contract: Until the end of the year, with potential to extend

Shift: Permanent Nights - Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am

Start: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a busy food manufacturing site in the DE55 area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance engineer looking for a long-term contract, with the potential for an extension beyond the initial end-of-year period.

The Role:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the production facility
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Minimise machinery downtime and ensure equipment is operating efficiently
  • Complete preventative maintenance and fault-finding activities
  • Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and to a high standard

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Time-served or suitably qualified Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing
  • Comfortable working permanent night shifts
  • Able to start at short notice
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
