Contract Platform Engineer - GCP - FinTech - £600+ Per Day

Our client is one of the world’s leading FinTechs - They build award-winning trading platforms and payments solutions used around the world.

In their City of London office, with flexible hybrid working, they’re growing their Cloud Platform team and are looking for an experienced engineer with great knowledge across GCP cloud infrastructure and networking, developer experience, Terraform, automation, and CI/CD, etc. to join them.

An initial 3 - 6 month contract, paying ~£600+ per day.

You’ll be key in the design, deployment, and operation of IaaS and PaaS on a multi-cloud platform and will have the chance to define and drive cloud best practices, and developer enablement.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be able to architect and deploy scalable cloud solutions, create developer-friendly tools and platforms, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

Requirements:

  • Great experience designing and supporting complex cloud Infrastructure platforms (GCP)
  • Great experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and on-prem/cloud Kubernetes.
  • Solid knowledge of networking and services like VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, etc.
  • Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and services.
