Contract Project Manager - Platforms & Operations
Wealth Proposition | 6 month contract | Outside IR35 | Market rate | Hybrid
Investec is progressing a significant growth agenda within its UK Private Client franchise to deliver our ambition to scale a high-touch, advice-led proposition that combines private banking, wealth capabilities, digital access and the wider One Investec ecosystem. As part of this, the business is developing a broader UK Wealth proposition that will require robust, client-centred operational foundations across onboarding, servicing, fulfilment, controls and governance.
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the integrated delivery approach across platforms and operations. The focus is on leveraging existing platform capabilities and aligning them with the operational processes, controls and client journeys required to launch a new wealth proposition.
The role will suit a financial services contractor who understands both operational delivery and technology-enabled business change. Acting as the bridge between platform teams and business stakeholders, you will ensure operational requirements are translated into platform outcomes, dependencies are managed effectively, and readiness activities remain aligned to programme milestones. Working within a small central build squad, you will play a critical role in turning proposition design into a launch-ready operating model.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
