About the Company
A leading UK travel-tech platform - one of the most-used consumer apps in the country - is scaling its web engineering team and needs a contract React Engineer who ships.
About the Role
This isn't presentational front-end work. You'll own features end-to-end on a product that serves millions.
Responsibilities
- Building and shipping customer-facing features in React, TypeScript and Next.js
- Working on a high-traffic, performance-critical booking experience across web and mobile web
- Contributing to a mature design system and helping keep it consistent as the product grows
- Partnering with product and design to shape features, not just implement them
- Writing well-tested code and taking part in experimentation / A-B testing to back decisions with data

Qualifications
- Strong commercial React and TypeScript experience on real, high-traffic products
- Comfort with Next.js, modern testing, and thinking about performance and accessibility
- Someone who owns problems, contributes to product decisions and can hit the ground running on a large codebase
- Available at short notice for an initial 6-month contract

Required Skills
- GraphQL
- Design-system contribution
- Experience migrating a legacy front-end to React/TypeScript
- Exposure to A-B testing frameworks
Pay range and compensation package
- 6-month rolling contract, strong day rate, Outside IR35
- Remote-first (UK-based), occasional team days
- Interview process is light and fast - two stages, quick decisions
