YOUR ROLE
Are you looking for a placement year where you'll gain real business experience, work on meaningful projects and develop skills that will set you apart after university?
We're looking for a curious, analytical and enthusiastic 3rd year university student to join our Contract Review Team for a 12-month placement based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a commercial logistics environment, working alongside colleagues from across the business to review customer contracts, analyse operational data and help identify opportunities that improve the way we work.

You'll be supported every step of the way, gaining valuable experience while developing your commercial awareness, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Analyse business, operational and commercial data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Review customer contracts, invoices, rate cards and supporting documentation.
- Compare contracted services with actual operational activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify risks, discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Produce reports, presentations and recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement and business improvement projects.
- Collaborate with operational, commercial and support teams across the business.
- Explore how digital reporting tools and AI can support smarter business decisions.
- Learn from experienced colleagues while building your commercial and analytical capability.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, asking questions and working with data.
- Currently studying towards a degree and looking to complete a 12-month university placement.
- Driving license and own car is essential due to some business travel.
- Comfortable working with numbers, data and detailed information.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel.
- Naturally curious, analytical and willing to challenge information constructively.
- A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with a variety of people.
It would be great if you also have some exposure to AI tools, Lean methodologies or Six Sigma, but this isn't essential, we'll provide full training and support throughout your placement.
