Contracts Sales Manager

We’re looking for an experienced contracts sales professional to establish and grow the contracts sales department at our Bradford branch.
This is an opportunity to build the department from the ground up, win new business and develop lasting relationships with contractors across the region. You’ll have the freedom to shape how the department operates, with the support of an established builders’ merchant and the wider Joseph Parr group.
The role
- Develop and lead the contracts sales operation at our Bradford branch.
- Identify and win new contracts and project opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, developers and other key customers.
- Get involved early in projects to understand customer requirements and position the branch to win the work.
- Prepare and follow up quotations and tenders.
- Work closely with the branch team, suppliers and colleagues across the wider group to deliver for customers.
- Track sales activity, pipeline, conversion and margin, and report on progress.
- Help shape the department’s processes and future growth.

About you
- You have a strong track record in contracts sales, ideally within builders’ merchants or the construction supply sector.
- You understand how to identify, develop and secure project business.
- You have established relationships and knowledge of the contractor market across West Yorkshire.
- You’re commercially minded and understand the importance of sales, margin and customer service.
- You’re organised, proactive and confident managing opportunities from first contact through to completion.
- You’re comfortable building a new department and taking responsibility for its performance.
