Contract Scheduler – HJS (Part of Ventro Group)
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per year | Full-time, permanent | Office-based, Oldbury, Birmingham
We are currently based in Kings Norton and will relocate to Oldbury in early 2027.

The Role
We are looking for an organised, reliable Contract Scheduler to join our Active Fire team in Birmingham. You may have worked as a Scheduler, Service Coordinator, Works Coordinator, Contracts Administrator or Operations Administrator.
As Contract Scheduler, you will:
- Schedule and dispatch engineers and book works
- Apply for permits, including permit-to-work (PTW)
- Raise purchase orders so equipment is ready for jobs
- Raise customer invoices accurately and on time
- Liaise with customers, engineers, purchasing and accounts by phone, email and portal, using CRM or CAFM systems

What We're Looking For
- Strong scheduling, organisation and time management skills
- Experience in administration, coordination, planning or customer service in a busy environment
- Confident phone and email communication
- Good attention to detail and IT skills
- Experience scheduling engineers, using permit portals, raising purchase orders or invoicing is welcome but not essential
- Knowledge of fire safety, facilities management, building services or construction is a plus
- Reliable, calm under pressure and team-focused
You don't need the title "Contract Scheduler". Many of our best people came from property management, social housing, utilities, facilities management, construction or contact centres.
