Freelance SEO Director – Ecommerce / Retail – Remote – ASAP Start
I’m working with a leading agency who are looking for a Freelance SEO Director to take the lead across two large UK ecommerce retail accounts through until the end of the year.
This is a senior client-facing role, so they need someone who can step in quickly, take ownership of the SEO strategy, manage senior stakeholders and lead the wider team across delivery.
The Contract:
- SEO Director
- Approx. 140 hours per month across two accounts
- 90 hours on one account / 50 hours on the other
- Remote
- ASAP start
- Contract until 31st December
- IR35: TBC

The Role:
- Lead SEO strategy across two high-profile ecommerce / retail accounts
- Manage senior client relationships and act as the main strategic point of contact
- Oversee the wider SEO team and ensure delivery stays on track
- Provide senior-level direction across technical SEO, content and organic growth
- Identify opportunities, challenge where needed and keep activity commercially focused
You:
- Strong SEO Director / senior SEO leadership experience
- Genuine ecommerce and retail background
- Ideally experience working with large UK high-street retailers
- Confident managing senior client stakeholders
- Comfortable leading teams rather than being purely hands-on
- Agency experience would be a big plus
- Available to start ASAP
