Contract AI-Native Software Engineer opportunity - £460 per day - Fully Remote - 6 months - Outside IR35
If you’re already using AI to build, ship and improve software (not just experiment with it) this is a seriously exciting opportunity.
Morson Edge are working with a team redefining how software is delivered using agentic workflows and multi-agent systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building real, production-grade systems powered by AI.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building AI-native, backend systems (Java)
- Orchestrating multi-agent workflows to accelerate delivery
- Implementing AI-assisted development practices across the lifecycle
- Building validation and quality frameworks for AI-generated code
- Working within existing platforms to introduce modern, agentic approaches

- Strong backend engineering experience (Java)
- Experience with the Spec Driven Development methodology
- Experience with distributed systems & APIs
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted or agentic development workflows
- Understanding of testing, CI/CD, observability
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
