Role: Contract UX Designer
Industry: Trading
Location: Central London (Hybrid, 3 days per week)
Contract: 6-month initial contract (multi-year programme)
Rate: £500-550/day (inside IR35)
X4 Technology are partnered with a leading organisation undertaking a major transformation of their trading technology and operational platforms.
As part of this multi-year programme, they're investing heavily in the user experience across their trading, risk and operations tooling with the goal of creating modern, intuitive interfaces for highly complex workflows used by front-office and operational teams.
They are looking for an experienced contract UX Designer to lead end-to-end design activities across discovery, definition and delivery, helping shape enterprise products that improve usability, efficiency and decision-making within fast-paced trading environments.

Responsibilities for the Contract UX Designer (Trading)
- Lead end-to-end UX/product design from discovery to handover for enterprise applications
- Conduct user research, workshops and usability testing to drive evidence-based decisions
- Create journey maps, user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity Figma prototypes
- Design intuitive, data-rich interfaces for complex trading and operational workflows
- Collaborate with traders, product, BA and engineering teams
- Champion usability, accessibility and design system best practices

Requirements for the Contract UX Designer (Trading)
- 6 years' UX/UI/Product Design experience delivering enterprise products end-to-end
- Portfolio covering commodities, energy trading, capital markets or investment banking
- Strong Figma, FigJam, design systems and interactive prototyping
- Experienced in user research, usability testing and workshop facilitation
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
