Contractor Manager (Commercial & Risk)

Location: UK (Hybrid/Flexible)
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
Benefits: Bonus, pension, holiday, and many more

Drive Commercial Value. Strengthen Supplier Performance. Mitigate Risk.

We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager (Commercial & Risk) to join our Supply Chain team and play a pivotal role in shaping the performance, governance, and commercial success of our contractor network.

This is far more than a traditional contract management role. Sitting at the intersection of commercial management, supplier governance, performance improvement, and risk control, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of preferred contractors, ensuring they deliver exceptional value, compliance, and operational performance across the business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll influence supply chain strategy, drive commercial efficiencies, and help create a high-performing contractor network that supports long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance & Cost Control

  • Drive commercial performance across contractor spend and supplier agreements.
  • Support rate card governance to ensure competitive and market-aligned pricing.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives, rebates, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support commercial negotiations, tendering activities, and supplier re-commercialisation projects.
  • Ensure contractor costs align with contract profitability and business objectives.
  • Secure improved commercial terms and measurable value outcomes through effective supplier negotiations.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, operational, and compliance risks across the supply chain.
  • Lead contractor risk reviews and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with contractual obligations, HSQE standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for high-risk supplier issues and performance failures.
  • Support bids and procurement exercises while maintaining adherence to supply chain governance processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
