Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a Local Authority based in West Yorkshire, who are seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join their Legal Services team on a contract basis.
As a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor, you will provide high-quality, practical and commercially focused legal advice to the Council, its departments and other internal stakeholders.
You will take responsibility for managing your own caseload of complex Contracts and Procurement matters with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring all matters are progressed efficiently and in line with relevant legislation, procurement regulations, professional standards and the Council's internal policies and procedures.

Location: West Yorkshire/Hybrid
Contract: 3 months rolling
Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55 per hour
PAYE Rate (including holiday pay): £44.45 - £48.89 per hour
Responsibilities as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor:
- Managing a varied caseload of Contracts and Procurement matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to Council departments, senior officers and other internal stakeholders.
- Advising on public procurement processes, including compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements and legal documentation.
