Role: Contracts Attorney (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $100 - $200/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership and oversee all legal matters for the organization on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership and board members on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing arrangements.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations, product offerings, and global expansion.
  • Oversee corporate legal functions, including intellectual property protection, data privacy, and employment law matters.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one state.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on technology, internet, or digital platform industries.
  • Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience advising startups or high-growth companies on venture financing, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and intellectual property protection strategies.
