The Contracts Counsel will be an integral part of the One Identity Legal team, primarily supporting sales and partnerships. The ideal candidate is an exceptional, detail-oriented commercial attorney who thrives in fast-paced, demanding environments with a high volume of complex, enterprise deals. He or she must intuitively understand how to balance legal risk with business objectives and can communicate guidance in a highly practical way.

Responsibilities
- Utilize balanced lawyering to efficiently and effectively draft, negotiate and close a wide variety and high volume of complex customer, partner and vendor contracts with limited supervision
- Work pragmatically and effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions and business units to achieve successful outcomes in contract negotiations
- Anticipate potential contractual, legal or operational issues and take proactive steps to address them efficiently and reduce the risk of disputes or delays
- Support the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, negotiation playbooks and contracting processes/workflows, and develop and deliver training and awareness programs to promote best practices and understanding of legal risks, contracting principles and company processes
- Support the implementation and optimization of contract lifecycle management and redline review workflows utilizing tools such as Ironclad and related systems
- Develop and maintain relationships and collaborative partnerships within the legal team as well as with senior leadership and business partners throughout the organization

Qualifications
- You have a JD from an accredited law school and are licensed to practice in at least 1 state
- You have 3-5 years' of tech transactions experience in a B2B SaaS/tech environment. In-house legal experience required
- You are comfortable negotiating a range of commercial contracts including SaaS/software agreements, DPAs, partner/reseller agreements, and vendor agreements
- You have a track record of running commercial deals independently and getting signatures without handholding
- You have strong legal operations instincts. You think about process, templates, and automation, not just the contract in front of you, and you've built or improved a contracting process before
- You are comfortable using tools to accelerate research and drafting, especially in areas outside your primary expertise. Strong business orientation with the ability to build collaborative relationships
- Bonus: you have experience using or implementing Ironclad
