About The Role
The Contracts Director (M&E) position in Bristol is a permanent, full-time leadership role with RGB Recruitment. This position involves taking charge of, developing, and expanding the contracting division for an established Mechanical and Electrical firm serving the South West. A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, who have been operating across the South West for over 20 years and are now looking to expand and develop their operations further in the Bristol and surrounding areas.
Delivering Mechanical & Electrical works across a variety of sectors including, commercial, industrial and healthcare, they offer their clients a wealth of technical knowledge, a range of services and a collaborative approach. You will be specifically tasked with targeting, growing and leading the contracting side of the business.

The Role
Due to their strategic growth and succession plan, this brand-new opportunity has been created to appoint a Contracts Director.
As part of the senior management team, you will oversee the contracts managers and site staff, commercial team and admin resource, recruiting new and developing existing staff members.
You will lead on business development, representing the company in the marketplace, spearheading growth, identifying new business, building relationships with current clients and raising the company profile.
You will have responsibility for leading the team to produce competitive, winning tenders to successful project delivery including client liaison, programming, H & S, cost control and customer satisfaction.
Commercially aware, you will be involved in forecasting, budget control and reporting to the board on the progress of the business.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical contracting, proven experience in a management role and now looking to take their career to the next level and into a Director role.
Skills And Experience Required
- Min level HND/HNC in electrical engineering or relevant
- Attention to detail
- Strong technical understanding & knowledge
- Previous experience of managing teams and business units
- High regard for Health & Safety and quality of workmanship
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Confident in a client facing role, representing the company and developing new business
- Driven and ambitious with a desire to grow the team and business
- Established contacts and relationships in the area.
