Contracts Manager - Yorkshire

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our growing Yorkshire region. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Contracts Manager or experienced Senior Site Manager ready to take the next step, to play a pivotal role in delivering multiple residential developments whilst maintaining high standards from quality, health and safety, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing a number of live developments across the Yorkshire region, ensuring each site delivers against programme, budget, quality standards and customer expectations. You will provide leadership and support to Site Managers and their teams, driving performance while promoting a positive, collaborative culture across all developments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple residential developments across the Yorkshire region.
  • Ensure sites are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to Harron Homes quality standards.
  • Lead, coach and develop Site Managers and site teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Monitor build progress, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
  • Work closely with Technical, Commercial, Sales, Customer Care and Land departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring high quality finishes and reducing defects.
  • Produce regular progress reports and attend senior management meetings.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within a volume housebuilder, or significant experience as a Senior Site Manager ready for progression.
  • Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and current building regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
