About the Role
Fastly is seeking a proactive and strategic Contracts Manager to help scale its commercial Legal and Contracts Management team. As trusted business partners empowering company growth, the ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in contract administration, a passion for managing agreement lifecycles (sales, vendor, and partner contracts), and a track record of building effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Contract Administration & Execution: Efficiently manage and process a high volume of contracts from initial intake through execution and opportunity close, utilizing core business systems such as Salesforce (SFDC) and automated Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software
- Support the Sales Cycle: Demonstrate flexibility required to service a demanding sales organization during high-volume, critical time constraints at month-end and quarter-end close cycles
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate daily with quote-to-cash teams (Deal Strategy, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Sales Operations) to support contractual terms and execute revenue transactions
- Review & Negotiation: Review requests for signatures against policy requirements and assist in reviewing and drafting non-complex negotiated legal agreements on Fastly forms following playbook guidance
- Process & Documentation Support: Contribute to team documentation, playbooks, templates, and knowledge management to drive process improvements and operational efficiency
- Communication & Escalation: Maintain timely communication regarding the status of requests, tickets, and tasks, promptly escalating blockers and complex issues with appropriate recommendations and context
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 2-4 years of contract management experience in SaaS, AI or other high-growth and fast-paced technology environments
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience and proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) and automated CLM tools (such as Ironclad and Docusign) and AI-assisted negotiation tools such as Claude or Gemini to efficiently scale commercial contracting deal support. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate contract administration issues to partners (e.g., attorneys, sales teams) and build trusted internal relationships
- Judgment & Problem Solving: Strong time-management and organization skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in executing risk-based assessments aligned with Contracts team policy frameworks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
