About the Role

Due to continued growth, Elite Fire Doors Inspections & Installations Ltd is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of fire door contracts across the UK.

This is a key position within the business, suited to someone with proven experience in the fire door industry who can confidently manage multiple projects, site teams and client relationships while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and safety.

You will oversee contracts from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and in accordance with the required specifications and fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple fire door projects across the UK from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, materials, programmes and site activities.
  • Manage and support site supervisors, operatives and subcontractors where applicable.
  • Monitor project progress, quality and compliance.
  • Ensure fire door installation and remedial works are completed to the required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, site teams and the wider EFD management team.
  • Attend site meetings, progress meetings and client reviews as required.
  • Identify and resolve project issues efficiently to minimise delays and disruption.
  • Ensure relevant RAMS, site documentation, quality records and project information are maintained.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Technical teams to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Support project handover and close-out, ensuring required documentation is complete.
  • Promote a positive health & safety culture across all projects.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience managing fire door contracts/projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fire door installation, inspection, remedial works and compliance.
  • IFE Level 3 in Fire Doors.
  • SMSTS.
  • Experience managing site teams, programmes and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationwide as required.

Desirable

  • NVQ qualification in Fire Protection.
  • Previous experience within the wider passive fire protection sector.
  • Relevant additional fire safety or construction qualifications.
