A Strategic Contract Management & Business Development Opportunity
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare provider to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager.
Remote Working | Occasional Travel Across the Midlands (typically 1-2 days per month)
Permanent | 35 Hours per Week | £47,000 – £57,000 + Excellent Benefits
This is a high-profile opportunity for a commercially astute contract management professional who enjoys operating across contract management, stakeholder engagement, business development, healthcare commissioning, and strategic growth.
Working as part of a highly focused and motivated Business Development team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of NHS contracts, ensuring their ongoing performance and optimisation while identifying opportunities to develop, expand, and secure new business across your region.
The role offers significant autonomy and influence, with responsibility for managing key commissioner relationships, supporting tender activity, identifying market opportunities, and contributing to wider organisational growth plans.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership within the Business Development function, you will be responsible for the effective account management of regional NHS contracts, ensuring the successful delivery and development of existing services while proactively identifying new opportunities for growth.

You will monitor developments across the healthcare sector, maintain strong relationships with commissioners and healthcare stakeholders, and help shape commercial strategies that support sustainable service expansion.
This is a role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and will suit an ambitious professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable results.
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in NHS contract management, healthcare commissioning, or a comparable healthcare environment.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- A proven track record of delivering business growth, service development, or contract expansion.
- Experience managing complex contracts and commercial negotiations.
- Strong business development skills, including opportunity identification and strategic planning.
- Confidence presenting to both small and large audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and project management capability.
- Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally within the region.
