Contracts Manager- Mechanical & Electrical

Salary: £56385 per year

Location: Torrington Avenue, Coventry, CV4 9AJ

Hours: 37 hours, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contractors ensuring KPI’s are met, works are completed as per instruction and to a high standard.
  • Budget management to ensure works are delivered on time and within allocated budgets.
  • Prepare technical specifications and work with Procurement to ensure we have a competent contractor employed for the works required.
  • Support other Contract Managers with their workload or in their absence while working closely with the senior Contracts Manager to look at the 30 year plan and programme of works each financial year to be delivered.
  • Provide technical expertise, support budget planning, deputise for the Senior Contracts Manager and act as an escalation point for complex queries.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Proven experience of contract management and budget management
  • Good understanding of housing compliance and experience working within a housing provider, contractor or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience supporting customers & colleagues
  • Well-organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, meeting deadlines and driving continuous improvement.
