Job Description

Contracts Manager - North

Hybrid/Field Based

A leading insurance repair and property reinstatement business is looking for experienced Contracts Managers to join their growing team.

This role is responsible for overseeing domestic property repair projects arising from insurance claims, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards. Working closely with surveyors, contractors, insurers and customers, you'll manage projects from instruction through to completion and play a key role in delivering a positive customer experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction, property repairs or insurance reinstatement who enjoys managing multiple projects and building strong contractor relationships.

The Role

As a Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of repair and reinstatement projects, ensuring contractors deliver against agreed scopes, service levels and timescales.

You'll be responsible for monitoring progress, managing contractor performance, resolving issues, controlling repair costs and ensuring repairs are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple property repair and reinstatement projects from start to finish.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure service levels and quality standards are achieved.
  • Carry out contractor reviews and support performance improvement where required.
  • Track project progress and proactively manage delays or issues.
  • Review variation requests and ensure works remain within agreed scopes and budgets.
  • Work closely with Surveyors to resolve technical queries and agree repair solutions.
  • Undertake desktop audits and site inspections to assess quality and workmanship.
  • Handle customer concerns and ensure clear communication throughout the repair process.
  • Support the management of major loss and urgent repair projects.
  • Maintain accurate project records and updates on internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and Building Regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contractor performance and operational processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
