Contracts Manager Required In London

GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor who are in the market for a Contracts Manager to join their team, due to internal promotions within the business.

As a main contractor they specialise in Fit-out and Refurbishment projects across bespoke residential, high-end retail, commercial and hospitality. Projects typically range from £1m – £5m in value.

Responsibilities Of The Contracts Manager

  • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple refurbishment or fit-out projects
  • Providing leadership and support to Project Managers and site-based teams
  • Taking overall responsibility for programme, quality, health & safety and project performance
  • Ensuring key project milestones and completion dates are achieved
  • Working closely with commercial, technical and design teams across multiple schemes
  • Monitoring project performance and identifying potential risks or delivery issues
  • Managing and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and the wider supply chain
  • Building effective relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of construction and quality across all projects
  • Supporting and developing the wider construction team

The Contracts Manager Must Have/be

  • Proven experience at Contracts Manager or senior Project Manager level within construction
  • A strong track record of successfully delivering commercial or residential schemes
  • Experience working for a residential main contractor, developer or housebuilder
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects or large, complex residential schemes
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent understanding of programme, commercial performance and project delivery
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • The ability to identify issues early and drive projects through to successful completion
