Full-time (37 Hours) – Permanent
Grade B2 - £32,578 - £34,811 per annum

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for contracts and project management?
North Kesteven District Council is seeking a Contracts Officer to join our Property Services team. As a Contracts Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Housing and Property services functions.

Job Requirements:

  • HNC, or equivalent/transferable experience, in a building/maintenance discipline.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through multiple channels.
  • Effective planning and project management skills to work to deadlines.
  • Understanding and applicable of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance management, contract administration and compliance.
  • Ensuring financial management within contract and budget limitations.
  • Communication and liaison with a range of contractors.
  • Ensuring communication with our tenants and customer service is effective.

Key Attributes:

  • Able to demonstrate our values through own performance and service delivery.
  • Experience or transferable skills to manage and deliver contracts.

  • Competent in dealing with building maintenance works.

You will be required to apply a high level of detail and be conscientious when carrying out this role. The benefit is that you will be directly supporting the delivery of repairs and planned maintenance to the council’s homes at a technical level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
