GTH Construction is an established and respected building refurbishment contractor with over 30 years' experience delivering high-quality Education and Commercial refurbishment projects throughout the UK.

Working across the Higher Education, Commercial, Healthcare and Public sectors, we have developed long-term relationships with prestigious clients and secured positions on a number of major framework agreements. Our projects range from £10,000 to £10 million, offering genuine variety, technical challenge and career development.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts / Project Manager to join our expanding delivery team.

Although based from our Midlands office, this role offers the opportunity to work on projects across England, supporting clients on both regional and national schemes. No two projects are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and working with a diverse client portfolio.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position that will see you managing projects from early contractor involvement and pre-construction through to successful completion and handover.

Working closely with our Directors, Commercial Team and Site Managers, you'll help lead the planning, coordination and delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the high standards our clients expect.

You'll have responsibility for client liaison, programme management, procurement, design coordination, subcontractor management and overall project delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects throughout England
  • Leading Design & Build project delivery from inception to completion
  • Managing programmes, procurement and project resources
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and consultants
  • Coordinating specialist subcontractors and design teams
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of quality and health & safety
  • Supporting value engineering and innovative delivery solutions
  • Driving projects through to successful completion and client handover

About You

You'll already have experience delivering refurbishment or fit-out projects and be confident managing multiple stakeholders in live construction environments.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes pride in delivering projects professionally and enjoys working within a supportive, ambitious team.

Essential

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager within the construction industry
  • Refurbishment or fit-out project experience
  • Construction-related qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • CSCS
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel to projects throughout England when required
